House of Haunts

Through the magic of technology, we introduce you to Simeon Perkins and his family. Watch Simeon materialize before your eyes as he rises from his bed, or Elizabeth working in her pantry. Discover their stories using slate boards, push buttons and questions. Where else can you meet eight friendly ghosts? Don’t miss the fun!

Evolution of the Mi’kmaq Culture

Lawn Bowls and Pall Mall

Lawn Bowls and Pall Mall (Croquet) were favourite outdoor activities in the 1700’s. Perhaps Simeon and Elizabeth played these games with their family on the Perkins House Lawn. Learn to play these games and even organize your own tournament. The Museum grounds are environmentally friendly. We are proud to say no pesticides or herbicides are used on our lawns or gardens.

Walking Tours:

This program was developed through a community health active living grant.  It is the Museums way of introducing some healthy activity into the lives of youth through programming which is not sport related. Visitors today are able to access a walking tour of Liverpool focusing on many wonderful Historical facts.  The Museum decided to expand on this concept and create a walking tour which focuses on changes noticeable to children and gets them to ask questions about the changes that they see.

To book your program today contact Linda or Kathy at 354-4058.
