Come and join us for celebrations marking the 250th Anniversary of Perkins House.
June 24-26, 2016 – Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Liverpool, Nova Scotia
In 1759 Simeon Perkins, from Connecticut, received his land grants in the Township of Liverpool. He built a home in Liverpool, which is now part of the Nova Scotia Museum.
For over forty years, Simeon kept a diary of his life in Liverpool. That diary, a prized artifact at the Queens County Museum, is a treasure trove of information about that era in Liverpool.
This year 2016, marks the 250th anniversary when building started on Simeon Perkins house in Liverpool (House actually completed in 1767). Celebrations include re-enactments and historic themed events that will delight families, history buffs, and the curious.
