Festival of Trees and Dickensville Official Opening Nov 24, 2018
Queens County Museum once again turns into a holiday wonderland with its annual Festival of Trees and Dickensville. The Museum is transformed into a magical Christmas showcase, featuring over 30 modern-themed and vintage-style Christmas trees, ornaments and decor.
The stunning display of trees is accompanied by a beautiful themed village of Dickensville, with over 80 little buildings taking you through the time period of Charles Dickens and all his delightful characters.
Both displays begin with an “Open House” on Saturday, November 24 from 1pm to 4pm and continues daily until closing time December 23rd.
Come on in, share the spirit of Christmas!
We’ll start you off with a cup of warm mulled cider all generously provided by George and Margaret Mitchell, Liverpool. Free Admission.

Herbal Medicine Making Workshop, Feb 8 – March 1
Queen County Museum will be hosting a four week workshop series on Herbal Medicine Making. Conducted by Benna Keoghoe, this workshop will teach you about harvesting, preserving and making your own herbal medicine.
When: Each Thursday, starting Feb 8 through to March 1 from 7 to 9 pm.
Cost: $25/class or $80 for all four classes

Festival Of Trees & Dickensville 2017
Once again, the Queens County Museum is hosting its’ annual Christmas exhibit called the Festival of Trees and Dickensville.
The Museum is transformed into a magical Christmas showcase, featuring both modern themed and vintage-style Christmas trees, ornaments and decor.
It is partnered together with the magic of the village of Dickensville taking you through the time period of Charles Dickens and all his delightful characters.
This beautiful exhibit will begin with an “Open House” on Saturday, November 18 from 1pm to 4pm and will then run right through daily until closing time December 23rd.
Daily, everyone is invited to drop in to enjoy a taste of fruitcake and a cup of mulled cider all generously provided by George and Margaret Mitchell, Liverpool.

Easter at the Museum – April 15, 2017
Special Easter event for kids up to 12 years of age.
We are holding an Easter Event at the Museum, on Saturday, April 15, 2017
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
We have activities for three age groups: 3-6, 7-9, and 10-12 years of age.
- egg hunt (weather permitting)
- egg and spoon race
- egg decorating
- face painting
- coloring contest
- pin the tail on the bunny
- plus prizes and much more

Museum Awareness Days, March 2017
Drop in during Museum Awareness Days, every Monday, in March from 1pm to 7pm. We will take you on a free tour of our museum and show you:
- our replica Privateer ship, called the Liverpool Packet
- our Mi’kmaq exhibits
- the Thomas Raddall Research Centre
- plus, many other exhibits in the Museum
