More good news for 2021! The Queens County Museum has been awarded the seasonal operation for the Fort Point Lighthouse Park, in Liverpool. For the next three years we will be managing this historic gem.

Did you know it was built in 1855? It is the third-oldest standing lighthouse in Nova Scotia.  Definitely a must-see if you are travelling the Lighthouse Route on the South Shore.

The park includes a walk around the lighthouse along the shoreline, and seating for enjoying a coffee while you breathe in the sea air.

Fort Point Lighthouse Park hours are:

  • Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm
  • Sunday 1pm to 4pm

We are currently developing plans for the Lighthouse, which may include a Privateer exhibit, gift shop and educational programming.
